About Us

Principal John AllinI feel privileged to be the principal of this thriving Church of England comprehensive school. We are fortunate to be situated on a pleasant site in popular Tettenhall but our greatest assets are the 900 students and the team of colleagues determined to get the best from them.

We place great emphasis on the care we give to our students and we endeavour to know them as individuals. It is my absolute conviction that we all have talents and it is our job to help each student make the most of them. We definitely want to celebrate achievement and our concerts, productions, exhibitions and sporting successes bear testament to this.

We aim for excellence. This is evident in our recent examination successes but school life is about so much more. We are excited by our curriculum. We feel it provides opportunity for all. We have a rich programme of extra-curricular activities. What goes on outside of the classroom can and does make the difference.

We could not achieve all that we do without working in partnership. This is so important and our Parent Teacher Association and governors work tirelessly with us to help our students.

We are definitely a community working together towards the same goals. We revel in our specialist status as a Visual Arts and Sports College with Science. This is important to us, enriches all we do and benefits our students enormously. It also means that we can work even more closely with our partner schools and the community. We are proud of these links.

If you are moving into the area and have children of secondary school age or simply if you’d like to find out more about us, please do not hesitate to get in touch. You could always pay us a visit. We enjoy showing people around.

Those who do visit will encounter a very friendly school. We focus on relationships and we are proud to be a church school striving for excellence through diversity. There is something special going on. Our emphasis is always very definitely on learning and teaching.

Students LearningAs a Specialist Visual Arts College, also designated as a Specialist Sports College with Science, we are dedicated to realising the potential of all our students by providing opportunities for academic, creative, sporting and personal development. Each child is precious and in partnership with parents we support learning within our caring ethos.

The facilities at the school are constantly improved, offering state of the art learning environments. The staff of the school are experienced, skilled and devoted to their profession and your child’s learning. Facilities We are committed to the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, relevant to the challenges of the modern world.

In providing leadership and vision, the staff and governors are proud to be part of a vibrant school in the Lichfield Foundation, working in partnership with St. Peter’s Collegiate School. We invite you to visit The King’s C.E. School so that you can see the school for yourself. We have an open evening and open mornings in the Autumn Term.

Best wishes

John Allin
