Key Stage 3
At The King’s C.E. School we monitor continuously the curriculum to ensure that it is appropriate for our students’ needs. We demand the highest standards from all our students. However, we recognise that individual students will have their particular needs, and we make response to their needs a priority.
Throughout Years 7, 8 and 9 we deliver a differentiated curriculum providing students with appropriate challenges.
As a Church School, Religous Education and Collective Worship play an important part in the life of the school. While respecting the richness and diversity of our students’ background, Christian values underpin the School Community.
Education about sex and personal relationships is provided through the Citizenship programme, and is delivered by the school nurse and the pastoral staff.
Parents have the legal right to request their child is withdrawn from the sex and relationship aspects of Citizenship and either Worship or Religious Education if they so wish. However, the school operates as an inclusive community and seeks to maintain full student participation.
