The Moving Image
Welcome to The Moving Image page. As a Specialist Visual Arts College we take great pride in being able to push the boundaries of existing digital technologies. Over the past two years we have introduced The Moving Image into the Specialist College plan as an extra Arts activity. Students at The King's C.E. School and surrounding primary schools can engage in such activities as Film Making, Animation and Web Design.
By introducing new ways in which to present the visual image students are able to explore different creative techniques within an exciting arena. Students get involved in decision making processes that often rely on a good use of English, Art, Graphics, Music, ICT, Drama and Science.
Year 9 Public Information Film Project 07
In February 2007 six year 9 students took part in a Public Information Film based on a No Smoking Campaign. Nick Fogg (Creative Apprentice) came into the school to offer her expertise in order to help students piece together the film they were intending to make.
Students got involved in researching for the project, scripting, story boarding, acting and post production editing. All six students thorougly enjoyed the film making experience and are proud of the final outcome.
