Homework

Homework is an important part of learning. It is set in all subjects. We know by experience that students who are conscientious in their homework and take responsibility for working without supervision usually perform well in examinations. Each student receives a Homework Timetable which is taken home for the information of parents.

In Year 7 homework should take 20-25 minutes per subject. As students get older a greater emphasis will be placed on personal responsibility for additional study.

We ask parents to work closely with the school in checking that homework is completed on time and that students have the opportunity to do homework in a quiet setting.

All Homework should be listed in School Planner.
