ArtworkDuring this course you will have the opportunity to:

Develop your artistic skills using a variety of 2-D and 3-D media, such as card, wire, plaster and clay. You will also use a range of techniques such as printing, drawing and painting. You will develop some of your work using ICT software.

During the course you will use a variety of techniques and processes in order to develop your projects to a high standard.

In addition you will be expected to complete homework relevant to your course of study. Your homework will help you to build up knowledge and techniques essential for successful examination performance. You will cover a variety of topics but you will have some choice over the topics you choose in order to further your independent learning skills.

Coursework: number of projects: 1 - 60 % of final mark

Who should study this subject?

Students who have an interest in Art & Design and have achieved a good level in the subject at KS3. This course is suitable for any student who wishes to have a broad experience of the subject.
